I've been using Mambo CMS for about 6 months now. GUI driven management takes a while to get your head round, but once you do, is fairly easy going forward. However, if you need to start coding, then even the simplest change will take you hours to track down, change and test. It does get easier as you learn how the Mambo PHP code is written, but it's extremely frustrating. I chose Mambo after looking at a few other CMS systems, including Joomla and Xoops, but I still can't say if it's any better or worse. My search was limited to free Open Source systems, of course!
