Is there a way (without getting all complicated and using classes,
ill explain at the bottom) to GET a variable from one PHP file
without loading up that PHP File??

What I am trying to do is this:
Create a fileversion.php file that when loaded or accessed will get
$fileversion from each and ever php file in my script. The variable
will already be set to a value in the page.

My only other opinion I can come up with is to create a table in my
MySQL DB with a list of all the files and their versions...

AS FOR CLASSES, I plan to include something in my script that has
turned out to be VERY VERY complicated. I wanted to send text
messages to users Moble Cell Phone if a reservation in my script was
changed or cancelled (of course this would be a user option that they
could disable)

So far, I have been able to do this but phpclasses.org and if anyone
is wondering, I have only been able to get 2 Moble Cell Phone
providers to work as of yet (Sprint which is my phone, and Verizon
but am currently working on T-Moble and Cricket Communications)

When all is done with it, besides including it in my script I may put
it up on planetsourcecode.com and a few others.....but I cant take
all the credit as I have NO CLUE how the class works that I am
using..LOL

BTW, I figured out my function problem finally....sort of
I ended up having to re-write the function from scratch but in the
end I figured out that I had put a } in somewhere that was just
messing the whole thing up. That part of the function is done and
now I am working on the next two parts...
