True, and that's exactly what I alluded to getting him on if he
corrected himself. You can't use the 2 dimensional increase in space as
an analogy for a 1 dimensional change. When you use the area as your
argument after changing the length of a side you've moved outside the
argument. After all how does the measurement of the area of a square
relate to memory consumption when the initial metric was the length of a
side?
