I have a few thoughts on this but it involves things like explode(),
stripslashes(), etc.
if (strpos($string, ' ') === false) {
//may not work for tabs, newlines etc
echo 'No spaces!';
}
if (preg_match('/[\s]*/', $string) === false) {
echo 'No spaces!';
}
