What OS are you using? I think that you entered the wrong filename. for windows i use php_mysqli.dll . Somewhere in php.ini there is a list of extensions you can use, uncomment the php_mysqli.dll , copy php_mysqli.dll to the php install directory and change the php.ini extension setting to your php install directory, that should fix the problem .
