At more than $50.00 per license for ProxyPass and $300.00+ for iProtect, this would be more than a handful back in the pockets of my company, and ultimately, mine, when you consider the amount of our servers that run these tools.

I've found one solution that looks promising called PureMember, but this too, costs a bit. Seeing that is what prompted me to write to the PHP list, because it makes itself into an Apache module using an mmencode procedure.
With that being said, what kind of solutions might the PHP community suggest to combat the trading and abusing of shared or traded passwords?
solution: try re-prioritizing other peoples misery above your own greed... tada.

These solutions cannot modify the existing authentication procedures - meaning, I cannot convert a site that relies on .htaccess/.htpasswd authentication to a SQL-based authentication. The solution needs to have some sort of logging, either locally or remotely. The solution also has to be Open Source.
I eagerly await some feedback on this, because like I said, I'm sure there are others that have some of these same questions.

As saturated as the Hosting business is, it's always a good idea to keep the smallest P/E ratio that you can. When this is multiplied over several clients, this adds up greatly.

I'm sure that if your quaint little "Church of Virgin Disgruntled Middle-aged Men with Adopted Kids" had some sort of site where they wanted to protect a certain area to just it's members, and at the same time, you were able to find someone else to help you pull your head from your own anus, you'd see where this type of particular tool would become useful. This is not at all limited to the Adult hosting spectrum, but to any other site that might require a better grasp on it's username/password distribution.
I appreciate the time that you have spent (wasted) on trying to push your idealistic, church-going, Hippie-style, "I'm really a woman trapped in a man's body", "please don't make fun of me, i'm a good guy", "...crap/evil/stupid/annoying...", and just generally lame values on me. But it really doesn't tickle my fancy.
Anyone else have anything halfway decent to contribute to the subject? I would greatly appreciate your responses.
