Is it possible to check via php what version of mysql is running and if it is a 4.1.x or better version to see if it is using the --old-password switch or not? I would like to know so that I can code both ways and just have a conditional statement direct which code is used...
hmm, mysql, that should be in mysql functions. I need to *get* *info* about *mysql* *server*. Oh yeah, there's one function like that: mysql_get_server_info
