This is my opinion only, but apache+PHP tends to be more reliable than IIS+ASP most of the time; I have seen IIS+ASP locked down and optimized well, however. Regarding versioning... I'm assuming you're meaning Sharepoint's ability to track changes to a page. If that's the worry... there are plenty of Wikis out there that do this already, and have been doing it for years. Phpwiki is only one, though probably the most well known. I believe Yawp does as well. As for "good for hobbyists"... well, I make a living at it... :-) And so do many thousands of other PHP developers. And they create many "REAL" sites... including Yahoo. -- Matthew Weier O'Phinney | mailto:matthew@xxxxxxxxxx Webmaster and IT Specialist | http://www.garden.org National Gardening Association | http://www.kidsgardening.com 802-863-5251 x156 | http://nationalgardenmonth.org -- PHP General Mailing List (http://www.php.net/) To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php
