No .so produced

Hi

I am trying to compile and install PHP 5.2.6  on CentOS Linux 5.2 using the following config:

./configure  –with-gd --disable-pdo --enable-bcmath --enable-calendar --enable-ftp --enable-libxml --enable-magic-quotes --enable-sockets --prefix=/usr/local --with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs --with-libdir=lib64 --with-libxml-dir=/opt/xml2/ --with-mysql=/usr --with-mysql-sock=/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock --with-zlib --with-zlib-dir=/usr


I can see no errors during configure.

No errors during make.

running make install I get

make install

Assuming installing a .so rather than a libtool archive.

I am expecting this to make libphp5.so am I mistaken or doing something wrong?
