Re: PhotoForum gallery suggestion

Interesting perspectives I never considered...As with anything, we must ask  "Is it broken?" Because if it isn't them we can just continue.  If it is and the number of responses has dwindled to almost nothing then clearly a change is in order... I personally don't have a clue how to comment on gallery images in the current set up. There's nothing there except the photos. I look at them all every week and that's the totality of my experience of it. It doesn't seem interactive in any way....
I know I used to comment a long time ago... I don't know if something changed or maybe I just became even more stupid than I was in the 90s.

I think any of the free web designers (think wix or squarespace) would easily have a template that could take posting and commenting while still being low maintenance for the group. That way you can have your own EULA and rules. With the right free developer, the site could still stay on the local servers as it does now. I think a ‘craigslist’ minimalism is all that is needed here and not get to hung up on flashy web features.

You have to balance loosing current users versus gaining new exposure. Many will just not move.

Never was a fan of Facebook.  Still don’t have an account for what it is worth.

With facebooks eula and usage grabs and perpetual nature with no way to control the work, I would not submit work that goes on a facebook page that is not my own. And I dont even like posting my work there.

Sounds like a good idea!  The more exposure the better.
