Jan Ive had the displeasure of shooting several of those establishments down the West Texas frontier from Amarillo to El Paso and they were all pretty depressing long before the pandemic.

I would like to participate too. I know I am an infrequent participant but I am about to move from the old folks' warehouse I have been held in de\uring the pandemic.

We are OH SO CLOSE to reaching the suggested minimum number of participants in the 2021 (or 2022!) book of member’s and up to 5 guests. There is a bit of a problem with finalizing the publication of the book as I will be relocating to Austin for a couple of months starting in December. Things may not move expeditiously during that time!

You can review the proposed guidelines for the preparation of this edition at:

https://people.rit.edu/andpph/photoforum-book-catalog-2021-guide.html

If you have helpful  suggestions to modify the proposed guide (which is the same as the one for 2018) please mention it. I recall someone mentioned maybe using a different type but I forgot who and what. In any case if you want to lay out your two pages please send either a layout guide or maybe even a completed layout at requested resolution, etc. Otherwise you leave it up to me to lay to the book to my taste.

Note the book planned is 7  inches tall by 9 inches wide. Each participant is allotted 2 pages … a left and right set. The above guide should be sufficient to understand requirements. There will be some opportunity to discuss things on the list but not indefinite.

So far the list of interested contributors is:

01. Roy Miller
02. Lea Murphy
03. Gregory Stempel
04. David Dyer-Bennet
05. John Retallack
06. Rob Talbot
07. Herschel Mair
08. Russ Baker
09. Belinda Peters
10. Dan Mitchell
11. Andrew Davidhazy
12. Mário Pires
13. Jim Snarski
14. Randy Little
15. Pini Vollach
16. Martha Johnson
17.
18.
19.
20.

Well, that is the update on the book.

As far as the weekly gallery is concerned there is room for a few more contributions. Consider this an ongoing situation. If you’d like to contribute more than one photograph for installation over several weeks I can make a folder with your name and empty it over time.

well, that is it for this Saturday.

Regards,

Andy
