Re: Your first camera

My first camera was a Zeiss Ikon Ikonta (2-1/4 square), that originally belonged to my grandfather. I was allowed to use it for a band trip to Europe, in 1973. Had to have "crash" tutoring on shutter speeds, f-stops and the "rule" of ISO/ASA & f-11; figured out the range finder on my own. I took a bunch of pictures, with about a 50% satisfaction rate; not saying there were that many great photos (probably only one or two of those), just the ones I was satisfied with as a newbie. When I later left home, that camera came with me. I still have it and have kept it operational.
