I think it has no meaning whatsoever. I just did a search for for it and got these blurs

Current Canon RF lenses. Canon RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM. The Canon EOS R was bundled with this lens at launch, and that kit lens designation belies how good this optic really is. The first zoom, and the first stabilized lens, for the RF mount, it's a great all-round performer.

To the best of my interpretation is is not a roadmap lens but a lens roadmap. This probably refers to a line of lenses usually aimed at a single lens mount such as Nikon or Canon  lenses for their R or RP cameras. I suppose that it is a listing of lenses that fit a particular camera.

But you are right I think. Another “fancy” word for something that did not need a “new” word.
