The cat really is rather huge, being a Bengal type, hybridised a few generations back between a domestic cat and the Asian leopard cat <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leopard_cat#Subspecies>. This one is a real gentle animal - and very vocal animal when it wants food ! Depth of field is a problem with my 70-300mm zoom lens, for at the 300mm setting its widest aperture is already down to at f/5.6. A 300mm f/2.8 would indeed be better, but is awfully expensive !
