I've often thought of self-portraiture in conflicting ways.  This one is neat/clever and renews the debate in my mind.

 

                        Emily Ferguson - scallop shell

I've just begun to think about the relationship between math and nature, and along comes this photo where the ridges on the scallop shell demonstrate what is loosely described as dynamic symmetry.  The ridge pattern is an interesting version of log curves --  different from the usual snail shell demonstration. 

 

                        Lea Murphy - Walking on the Moon

Very nice composite, in many ways.  

 

                        Mark Harris - Flowing Sand

It's nice to see a nude that isn't staring provocatively at the camera.  Keeping it darker is fine, for me, but I think the sun is too bright and reduces the impact of the light on the flowing sand and the skin.

 

                        Herschel Mair - Potty humor... that is all

                        Dan Mitchell - Evening Light

Nice.  Golden hour makes nearly everything look splendid.  But photographers see it better -- whatever that means!
