I looked at the logo or trademark a bit more carefully and deduced it must be a Goerz … a Goerz Dagor actually.
If you turn the picture below upside down it is fairly easy to see the “G” … thus Goerz possibly.
So did a little (very little) “research” and found this on the web at: http://www.lungov.com/wagner/c/097c.html
So why did Goerz decide on their peculiar (to me) system?? I don’t know.
