Also digital has expanded the number of people that can take pictures
Thus, a lot more noise!
And while it is sad t o see camera stores converted into computer outlets the tecnical aspect is more accesible and more doscssed
At the end of the day, images are stil the result of people with good eye and a piece of hardware

And, maybe, you're doing more hanging out where people are making noise.
 I was active in the usenet photography newsgroups back when, things
aren't so different online now.
