Hi Yoram,

Thanks for reviewing,  What do you mean by "Hmmm"?
I want to learn something from every critique.
(I can survive also a bad one.)

Some nice shots this week -- and I like the larger number of shots too.

The PhotoForum members' gallery/exhibit space was updated April 19, 2014:

http://people.rit.edu/andpph/gallery.html include:

Tina Manley - Making Rice Paper
Very interesting, all around.  Backlit paper, woman's concentration.  I'd like to know what those things are behind the woman -- part of the paper process?  The copyright is very distracting.

                        Rob Talbot - Julie
Can't figure this one.  Dentist's chair, airplane seat?

                        John Retallack -
I think this should be worked further -- at least to increase depth.  Could be nice.

                        Pablo Coronel - Dogwood blossom
I don't know about van Gogh, but the falling branch and the back lighting is nice and that insect/bird on the right adds the right touch.  (Hummingbird moth?)

Allan Rosen-Ducat - Happening in the desert
Interesting sculpture.  Can't say much more

                        Jim Snarski - Liftoff
Nice to see.  One shot of many? -- or just a lucky shot?

                        Bob McCulloch - Morning Skies
Interesting shot in an otherwise ho-hum genre.

Art Faul - Oban Harbor and Mull Ferry
Very interesting, but after looking at it for a while I began to sense something might be wrong.  Is the ferry really that large? -- the perspective does not seem right.  Or something.  Still interesting, however.

                        Yoram Gelman - Bobbin Rack

                        Dan Mitchell - Ghost Passage
This could become a good dramatic shot.  Especially if there is more to choose from at the other end of the passage.  (Or stick in something else ;-) )

Pini Vollach - Ant looking up
Hmmm.

Andrew Davidhazy - Molly on the run!
A great shot, reminiscent of one part the Muybridge panel proving that a galloping horse sometimes has all four feet in the air.  Like the "Liftoff" shot above, was it one shot of many? -- or just a lucky shot?

'Till next time,  -yoram
