Howard Leigh
Hilary:  I like the pose (it’s not cliché), the _expression_ (very sweet and natural) and the lighting and cropping.  A very nice portrait.

Klaus Knuth

Landesteg:  Restful, peaceful, well composed and framed.  Very pleasing.

Art Faul
Rush hour:  I like the black and white with just hints of color and the static with hints of movements.  Well done.

Tina Manley
Ruby, 2000:  Telling, heartfelt.  Black and white is a perfect choice for this image.  It makes me think Ruby trusted the photographer and that says a lot about both, Ruby and the photographer.

Trevor Cunningham:  I didn’t have a clue what this was until I researched the subject and I live where the cactus are abundant.  Interesting, imaginative, it got my attention.

Dan Mitchell :  I’m intrigued by the artwork that the making this statue (probably not the right term, but all I could think of) involved.   I wouldn’t have been able to see this if you hadn’t shared it, Dan.  Thank you.

Bob McCulloch

Foggy Morn:  The fog causes most of this image to recede while making the main subject pop.  I like the reflections in, and slight movement of, the water.

Bob Sull
Searchlight Mining Shack:  I like the clouds, textures and colors in this photograph.  If it were mine (and I know it isn’t) I would crop it just below the pile of gravel on the left.  I think that would tighten it a bit.  I’d love to be at this site in the morning or evening, when the light is more directional.  I think I could have photographed the first building all day, considering all the opportunities it offers.

Christopher Strevens
The exit:  For me, this makes a powerful psychological statement.  It is titled “Exit,” but is it?  It looks as if it is locked.  So much in our lives is titled one thing, only to be another and often, the exact opposite.

Yoram Gelman
Decaying Grand Old House:  I really enjoy images like this one.  It brings up so many questions – who lived there?  What happened to them?  Where is this?  The photograph is perfect in black and white, nicely framed and composed.  Again, as with Bob’s subject, I could stay all day at this site and photograph it.  Intriguing, well done.

Thank you to all who contributed to this show and to Andy and staff for hanging it.
