I think the mirror less camera are about weight.  I looked at the Sony full frame A-850 when it came out. It was quite heavy compared to my Minolta full frame film cameras. I have always shot with at least two ( sometimes three) 35mm film camera around my neck. Two A-850 bodies and lenses around my neck seemed like too much weight.
