Not constant light source will be as powerful as strobes.  Until you get into the 1k 2k 4k watts and those are pricey. So I would look at what called a blondie 2k or red head 1k
Strobes are measured in watt seconds (joules)  its hard to make the convertion because you also have to know the angle of illumination.  Its why power packs are rated in Ws.  Each modifier produced a different illumination

Subject: Question on flash and power or intensity measurement.

Hi, everyone.

I need help with a question I have that relates to flash units and studio lighting.

My specific project requires that I use static lights (if possible) in place of strobes or flash units (on or off camera). I am trying to replace the flash units I now use with static lights that will provide the same amount of light.

My question:

1. How can I calculate and convert the amount of light emitted by a flash unit based on its guide number ? Lights are usually measured in Watts, Lumens, Candles and other units. How can I calculate this value (or values) for my flash unit so that I can buy studio static lights that produce the same degree of illumination ?

Thank you all in advance for your help.

Joseph.

PS: Any recommendation of book titles that cover this subject (the mathematics of flash and studio lighting calculation) will be very appreciated.
