RE: Davidhazy's photograph. Intention was for audience to take it or leave it. Underlying intent was to elicit consternation and possibly discussion. So how was it made? Made through a slit placed in front of the camera and rotating the camera causing the image of the slit and thus the view through the slit to be wiped across the sensor while the shutter was kept open for the transit time plus a bit more for insurance. For part of that time an arm and attached hand were drawn past the slit moving up and down. The "banding" is probably due to the flicker of fluorescent tubes maybe. Grainy appearance probably caused by having to use a very high sensor speed. Hope that helps and thank you. Andy
