The problem with this shot is that the bee arrives and departs the
same way, so nothing in the image actually speaks to the bee
departing except the title.
that's not exactly true...the bee arrived on an angle, like an
aircraft approaching a runway...I've never seen one hover over a
flower then descend vertically (I'm not saying that can't happen,
I've just never seen it in a lifetime of observation)...it did,
however, depart straight up...
I'm pondered this problem a good deal when in this situation, both
while admiring the amazing way bees move, and when trying to figure
out how to express whether they're coming or going with a still
photograph.
perhaps you could take the word of the photographer... *>)
The nice thing about the image is how crisp so many necessary parts of it are.
