The connection is  

1)baroque painting with Dogs are many

2) Baroque painting with Windows are many.   

3) Dogs _expression_ is reminiscent of typical _expression_ in most Baroque paintings. http://goo.gl/RNx0h

4) dirt on window creates a distortion that is reminiscent to brush stoke style often used in Baroque paintings.
