It is amusing, at this point, to see how my original post has been misunderstood and then further warped with inferences and implications all over the wall.  The flow of insults, self aggrandizement, and petty arguments might truly be a study in itself.  All I will say here is that I was not bored nor the epitome of newer digital photogs.  (My next photo submission may surprise.)  For the most part, the well-grounded technical expertise is fascinating -- but not the dickering about it.

My summary? If I wanted a summary I would be in another group. I am not sorry Yoram is bored, as he is perhaps the epitome of what is wrong with the current crop of amateur (digital) photographers who feel unable to take instruction or even read a manual. Reading is a central feature to learning anything including photography, so I for one will not be making any summaries.
