A scanner that only outputs to PDF? Surely that can't be right.
I've never seen, in 15 years, a scanner that primarily output to PDF.
How old are these scanners you have?
Well, I don't think there were PDFs 15 years ago, so even if your
scanners are very old, there's no way that's your only option.
Check to make sure you've explored all the options. You might find
you're scanning for document instead of for photo or picture or some
such word.
