The PhotoForum members' gallery/exhibit space was updated August 25, 2012. Authors with work now on display at:http://people.rit.edu/andpph/gallery.html include: Peeter Vissak - Dave Murphy playing flute - Unfortunately I don't know who David is but resumably an outstanding musician. I think the photograph captured the essence of the man and situation quite well especially if he was playing some "dark" music. The one thing that bugs me a bit is the light "pole" or something - the angle is the thing that distracts me. Jan Faul - wow! this sure "grabs" your attention!! I like a lot. Emily L. Ferguson - Blue sky day. - a refreshing look at an otherwise not so interesting scene. The blue reflection calls for attention. I am of two minds about the leaf or fern at bottom right. At times it bothers me and others it adds a feeling of 3 dimensionality or depth to the photograph. John Palcewski - Rain - it sure does! Pini Vollach - Dry garden - eye catching in a weird sort of way ... looks like ants building a tower or maybe damselflies. I like it. Christopher Strevens - coming to her end - while these photographs have a gripping tale to tell it is not one I am really comfortable with. Hard to make a comment. Sad situation. Bob McCulloch - Sunset East - probably this was much more impressive then as the version seen on my screen. I think it is one of those "you had to be there" situations. D.L. Shipman - 256 Shades of grey - I don't get it and don't have much or anything to add. I guess the picture is in the eye of the beholder. Allan Rosen-Ducat has a series exhibition of his Ridge Line Project photographs installed in Gallery-10. This is the link to the collection: http://people.rit.edu/andpph/gallery-10/ Not sure I mentioned this before but these are in general wonderful photographs of the interface between clouds and mountains. Worth taking a look even if they are a "work in progress" at this time. Very inspiring! Andy from Rochester |
