that is one of my fears.....I have worked at too many internet cafes to tolerate the wide screen sizes with the stupenduously high adjussted resolution taht makes reading a task.
From your answers it seen I will be going with a Dell (P190S ) or Philips ( 19B1CB) LCD. Haven't read any reviews yet

Wide Angle monitors must be used at their native resolution or Photoshop does not displace the image in the correct proportion.
