Did that and Herschel you are right too ... but to see the screen on the camera attached to the Questar "tripod" which was designed to be used on a table or something and with a 90 degree view scope I had to get he contraption high and the roof of the SUV seemed a good place. Found out that my camera will indeed do a mirror up exposure but I did not read far enough to learn if it will do it in live view mode. I suspect not. This is where a mirrorless camera would be useful!
