I had the foolish idea that removing the IR block was all there it was, but they do install an R87 in place. On the other hand, I intend to sell the XT because it produces some strange errors occasionally, which does not surprise me due to the tasks I have taken the poor camera to (several times I was happy-shooting in a cloud of copper concentrate dust). Yet, the 77mm filter did cost almost as much as the conversion, so it is definitely worth considering if only for the faster shutter speeds, thank you. **************** Alberto Tirado
