Thanks for the suggestions Tina but they have led to a complete dead
end. I downloaded Silverfast 8 demo, the recommended version for my
system and scanner, and installed it.
It crashes upon launch.
I then tried 6.6 demo, got it installed, and it cannot find the
scanner and the plugins in the folder cannot be installed into
Photoshop.
Many years ago I bought a Zip drive and it came with a version of
Silverfast. It messed with everything on my system and I finally had
to dump it to get Photoshop back - another very uninspiring
experience.
Maybe the silverfast folks don't really understand how to create
applications for Macs?
