I think it depends on the age of the camera...the new sensors with larger pixels are supposed to be wonderful.

All things being equal, I would not go for a camera based solely on pixels.

18 megapixels or 15 megapixels.  The 15 megapixels are larger while the 18 megapixels are smaller since the sensors are bothe the same size.
