FYI - recently I've been occupied with a couple of photo "improvisations" so to speak. In the first case I wanted to make the "cliche" photo of the view from the top of a mast looking down at the deck while under sail. This was actually a video view but have not made it such yet - maybe later! So frames are excerpts from a video record. http://people.rit.edu/andpph/2011-pix/2011-adria-mast-view-065A.jpg And then I got sidetracked by the need for a manual wide angle lens t fit on my original Canon Digital Rebel ... and possibly also the 5D MII. So I "destroyed" a 19 mm Canon FL lens and fitted it onto a left over Canon lens to body flange. It worked quite well! The lens focused a bit beyond infinity but that is better than not being able to reach it and have lens only useful for close-up work. Anyway, given this later on the position can be adjusted by shimming the items. The lens back is just a tiny bit too deep to allow the mirror of the 5D to swing up ... but with the camera's "live view" feature it works fine as the mirror flips up and is out of the way. However, with just a tiny bit of judicious metal removal with a Dremel tool it may be possible to fix that as well. http://people.rit.edu/andpph/2011-pix/2011-canon-19-EOS-assemblyA.jpg Now maybe I'll deal with the non-working MacMini! But probably will get side tracked and not get to it! Andy
