The best rental place is PROGEAR.

But just to add word of caution to Bob's:
If money changes hands, even if it's a dollar, there's a contract.
The client is entitled to expect a decent job as determined by the
norms in the industry. So she's competing with a lot of experienced
pros. People ask me what the cheapest I can do a job for but I've
never been asked what I'd charge for a crappy job. People don't want
to pay but they certainly DO want quality even if they're not paying
much.
It's a trap for amateurs and many fall into it and they can spend a
long time and a lot of money digging their way out.

I don't know of any on line rental outfits. I just have a
comment: If your friend is getting paid for this I wish her
luck. There are no retakes with this type of ceremony.....
My wife watches judge shows on TV and while some of the "my
wedding was ruined by the photographer" cases are frivolous,
some are not......

somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

Who has some recommendations on places to rent lenses. I know someone
that's asking, and frankly the lady is in over her head taking a
wedding. At least she is smart enough to know the kit lens that came
with the Rebel isn't up to the task I haven't rented from the online
sites so if anyone has any places which they have been treated well I am
sure the bride will appreciate it.
With the right lens, and automation, maybe the bride will get what she
likes. There is a reason I don't take weddings.
