          I got the purple very beautifully in the slide film. Next year when the Irises bloom I try a digital capture to see if it got a better color gamut.
I had the same problem with printing from slides in the 1980's. Purple flowers would print more magenta than purple. I think the problem is the eye and some films can see the near ultra-violet spectrum but the printing process could not, especially if printing the slides directly as the reversal process was more limited in gamut.. I wonder if I sent the slide to a custom lab and got a 4 6" internegative could the lab then print it purple with today's technology. The other option would to find a scanner with a higher dynamic gamut.

pink) flower on the slide.  Or, even more often, in a later print.
