Barbara, All your lenses from the Elan will fit onto and function fully on the Candon DSLR cameras such as the Rebel, the 5D Mark II, and others. I'd recommend the 5D Mark II although it is a little larger and heavier than the Elan but the "feel" is similar. The Rebels are good too but the sensor is smaller than on the 5D so all your lenses will show a narrower angle of view for a given subject distance.
