Thanks Lincoln but I have looked at Eizo and just can't afford them. Viewsonic and NEC are the only one's my list.

If you are serious about getting a monitor that has accurate, adjustable color parameters, I would look into Eizo monitors. They aren't cheap, but they are excellent. Additionally, if you are trying to calibrate your monitor to your printer, the X-Rite Color Monkey is an excellent, relatively inexpensive tool for calibration and creating profiles.
