Elson T. Elizaga - Molt
Such a delicate subject, I imagine it was challenging to position.
Nevertheless, the composition certainly has a 'found' feel too it. If
so, the earthen toned background is the perfect compliment for the
golden shell. I am insanely jealous of your discovery of this locust(?)
carcass and may have to go out with a can of Raid and knock down some of
the yellow wasps flying around here
Yoram Gelman - Shadow Abstract II
I'm a fan of both monochrome and abstracts. However, I'm usually
inclined for a fuller range of tones. Nevertheless, your use of blown
highlights manages to place lines that seem to come from nowhere. I
really like the illusory from the general lack of illusion...if that
makes any sense at all.
Dan Mitchell - Monkey orchid
I do love orchids. I also like the boldness of the colors and the depth
of field to lose the background. However, there is too much detail lost
in what should be a crisp shot. I want to see droplets on that spider web.
Lea Murphy - Joshua, four and a half years old, face
studies
Lovely, soft, perfectly-lit images. I also like the sinusoidal (x and
x+/- 1) arrangement of the holga and non-holga effected blocks. But, in
my opinion, I feel the full frame neg edge effect loses its impact
whenever there is more than one image presented that uses it. It's the
only thing I hold sacred to film. I have a similar aversion to digital
tools that simulate brushed emulsion, but that's just me. With this, and
your website, where do you find such good lookin' folks?
Andrew Sharpe - Papua New Guinea totem
Nice black and white shot, well composed and exposed...kinda spooky. I'm
hoping this was taken in Papua New Guinea as I would love to hear your
travel tales in that remote corner of the world.
Christopher Strevens - Lonely
Nice. Perhaps he's holding a weapon with which to even the score. How
big is your corporate footprint?
John Palcewski - Look, But Don't Touch
Dude's checkin' out her flip-flops. Foot fetish?
Mark Harris - Felicia at the Desk
Has a bordello feel to it. The uneven development gives it a potential
antiquated feel that is lost with the contemporary lingerie.
Michael Hughes - The first taste
She seem to be thinking about something else, but might be feeling
better as a result of the freeze-pop. I'm distracted too, but by the
blinding white baby foot in the top left. Nice contemplative grab...I
usually don't pay much attention to these, but I'm glad I did.
