Roy, you might want to try this printer list on yahoo. I have a 4000 and you are able to reset the maintenance tank on that printer.

There are actually several different Epson printer lists on yahoo. If this is not the place, they should be able to refer you to another list.
This group has REALLY helped me out with my ongoing maintenance and nozzle clogs.

Subject: Epson 1270 Printer reset software
I am looking for a source for the software that will reset Epson 1270 Printer once it has reached it maximum limit of prints. (Epson set a figure where it thinks the printers need to be cleaned out of all the ink the printers have been dumping inside the printer into a styrofoam trough). I have been using the Epson 1270 just to print black text. Any ideas?

Speaking of Epson printers, I have a CX9400 fax, and the absurdly expensive color ink cartridges run out and the printer shuts down even when I have not printed any photos. I'm convinced this is not due to evaporation, but rather to the greedy marketing geniuses who have figured out a way of FORCING people to buy new cartridges regularly, even though there's likely ink remaining.
Is there any way to over-ride the program that shuts down the printer when one of the cartridges "runs out" of ink? Is there any way to fix it so that I can use just the black ink to print Word Documents, and thus save money?
Any help along these lines would be greatly appreciated.
