I stood around quite a while watching as the light developed, and shot
quite a few exposures.  Most were exposed considerably higher than this
one; this one was intended to be part of an HDR merge (because I was
concerned with keeping the sky in range, among other things).  I did do
the HDR merge, but eventually discarded it (well, it's still on my hard
drive) in favor of just working up this one frame from the sequence.

And, since I'm posting about my own photo already, thanks to everybody
else who commented on it as well!
