It is what is called an "image transfer" - you peel a still developing Polaroid or Fuji negative from its initial sandwich and put the negative part face down on to paper and roll a hard rubber print roller over the back - after a few minutes you carefully pull away the negative to find (if you have done it right) an "artistic" positive image transferred to the receiving paper. The results are very variable depending on such factors as receiving paper, paper preparation, type of film, length of time image is initially allowed to develop, and other factors.
