Indeed that is usually so - however tests so far show me that Polaroid film, especially outdated original stuff, does not do well in low-contrast dull gray lighting. Of course the results can be improved in Photoshop, but nothing can change the original. Remember it was probably developed for bright sunny American holiday photos taken on warm days, and I also suffer outside in below zero temperatures !
