I am looking for some help in selecting the best current laptop that can be used with Photoshop and a digital projector in my teaching. Features I am looking for:
Fast processing, possibly dual core
Large hard drive, 300 or larger
At least 4 GB memory
15-16 inch screen, not high gloss finish.
Long life battery, 4 hour minimum.
My recommendation is to stick to the major players - Dell or HP basically, and pick a business laptop rather than a consumer one. The reason for this is that the customer support and repair service you get from the other manufacturers tends to be pretty poor (I had a nightmare trying to get a warranty repair on my Asus recently) and business laptops are built to last a little longer than consumer-level ones. Also, don't forget to check the contrast ratio on the screen, having a good contrast ratio is absolutely vital picking the correct exposures etc.
