Lea and John P, Thanks for the NYT series URL. There is a scenic stream my large format pals are fond of shooting that has some stones that seem to magically change position over time. Thy also hate utility lines and spend hours deleting them. Such fraud shouldn't be tolerated! It is a wonder in these cynical, digi-times how many still think photos are anything but illustrations. On the negative side, I often wonder about what will happen when the cultural memory of film is so dimmed the original photo mystique regarding "truth" and, to me, a large component of photographic art is lost.
