Rob Miracle - Rockin' Raquel
In spite of doubts about past or current gender of this person I think this situation or
environmental portrait is very good. There seems to be a bit of whimsical drawing on the column and
I'd be interested in being able to read or decipher it better. Photograph makes one wonder what is
she thinking - maybe nothing deep and is just relaxing at the window.
Greg Fraser - Boardroom
This just points out that all Canadians are alike! Seen one and you've seen them all! ;)
Great job of creating the individual images and assembling into a whole. Were you paid by the hour
to do this? Must have made a mint!
Emily L. Ferguson - effortless
Could not "connect" with the image - little bit of "stuff" in upper right corner found
"distracting". I like this though as a mysterious object. Maybe contrast could be a little higher.
Roy Miller - That is what humans look like
Humorous photograph in spite of caption. Surely makes not only dog owners smile but maybe even cat
owners!
Pini Vollach - Abstract Kitchen
I like this abstract. Especially the shadow of the bottle of wine (presumably that is what it is,
no? The paddles and triangular objects or their shadows on left form an attractive relationship. IMO.
Marilyn Dalrymple - Still Life
Ooops - this seems to be turned sideways in the thumbnail version but straightens up in the page
version. Wonder why that happens. Seems to happen with your contributions Marilyn. The girls here
have not solved the reason yet!
In any case, this is obviously highly reminiscent of traditional oil art - not being well versed in
art history I could not place a "genre" for the photograph but that is not needed to comment that it
is a very quiet, peaceful and attractive image. I don't like to say that a photograph reminds me of
a painting as if paintings were more worthwhile so I will not. It is though a very nice piece of
decorative art.
Laurenz Bobke - Antique shop in Gdansk
Hmmmm ... unfortunately not too much here to draw my interest for an extended time to this
photograph. The cat is a nice touch but its silhouette could be more "cat-like".
John Palcewski - Fish Eye
Interesting ... I like the placement of the mirror and I think it was a good move to crop it as
shown. Meaning the bit of mirror that is missing is OK by me as far as making the photo more
effective. Problem is that content otherwise seems to be not too eye-catching. A couple people (is
one of them you?) walking along - too small and too uninformative (!). IMO
