Nah  Never work for several reasons and just because it may be efficient doesn't necessarily mean its a good idea.  Windows will one day disappear to the realms of history, much like the bag phones and for the same reason.  A better product will replace it.  It might be a Microsoft product, but bigger companies than that have failed before.  I am confident someone out there like Bill Gates will have the smarts, the drive and desire to be the next Windows.

Motley Fool is talking about a more limited definition of the cloud. It is saying that Windows will disappear as there will be no need for an operating system on your personal communicating device. All program conflicts etc. will be gone as the cloud technies will handle all the problems. For an honest corporation it may be efficient and convenient.
