I take snap shots with mine all the time. Bright light is best, dim
light results in loads of grain, just like with most any digital.
Because the lens is constantly exposed with no cap or way to cover it
I've noticed a deterioration in the quality of my images over the past
two years (I bought my phone the day after they were released).
Despite cleaning the lens it's nowhere near the quality it was when it
was new.
Quality on a computer sceen? If your light is good you'll be just fine.
Oh, there is horrible shutter lag with the iphone camera. It's not for
shooting fast action!

I'd like to ask members for their opinions on the qualities or
otherwise of the camera within the iPhone. What is it best for,
what are subjects less likely to give good results - by good I mean
the result should at least look OK on a computer screen.
