After the waterdroplet post a few days ago, i looked into that nikon 60mm...on other forums, an overwhelming majority of responses also praised the tamron 90mm macro...i'm actually interested in this lens for myself.

Hi Veli

Going to USA is a good chance to get equipped !
If you use Canon EOS body, don't buy Sigma lenses.
Many people reported bad behavior of Sigma w/ EOS.
Tokina, on the other side, is performing well. Sometimes slow aoutofocus, but excellent image quality.

Hi all,

I am not a pro, but I take phography seriously.

I will be travelling to Tampa area, and would like to buy a good, fast lens
for portraiture to be used handheld and also in low light situations.

As I also do not already have a body (used Canon equipment before, but sold
all) I am thinking of buying a Canon 50D-500D or Nikon D90.

I am thinking of buying something 105-135 mm f/2.0
I need some hands on info about these lenses (or maybe Sigma for better
value) if any list member can provide.

Thanks for all the answers.

Veli Izzet Cigirgan.

PS. BTW, I also need info about stores you can recommend.
