W.r.t. to a lens with a defocus system you'd be looking at the Nikon
105mm f2 D AF DC Lens, around £790 in U.K. Hardly justifiable on the D60
surely!

Or a nice Leica 80mm would be nice. ;)
Of course you might have to get the Leica to fit on the back of it,
but that's another thread.

One thing about macro lenses, they are usually tack sharp. This
could be less than a good thing for a portrait lens.

Nikon have just brought out their latest f=60mm macro lens. This
on a D60 would give a field of view equivalent to a 90mm lens,
perfect for portraits.
Alternatively, look at the Sigma f=70 macro or f=105mm macro
lenses. All ideal, and double up as a macro lens as well. Hard to
beat really!

Good day everybody,
A friend has purchased a Nikon D-60 and aske what a good
portrait lens would
be for this camera.
Advice would be appreciated.
