Of course you might have to get the Leica to fit on the back of it, but that's another thread.

Good choice ;-) I like the Leica M 70/1.4 on the Leica M8. With the 1.3 factor, that makes the lens about a 90/1.4. Very good for portraits. The 1.4 will give you a very narrow depth of field. This lens is almost too sharp for a portrait lens, but you can always soften it later.

One thing you can't do convincingly is sharpen a portrait that is too soft.
